Ghana international Antoine Semenyo is set to undergo a medical ahead of a blockbuster transfer to Manchester City in the ongoing transfer window.

The Black Stars forward is on the verge of completing a £65 million move from AFC Bournemouth after an outstanding campaign in the Premier League.

Semenyo arrived in Manchester on Thursday morning to begin the mandatory medical process, having played his final game for Bournemouth on Wednesday night, where he scored a stunning late winner against Tottenham Hotspur.

Upon completion of the medical, the 25-year-old is expected to sign his contract and officially become a Manchester City player, marking a major milestone in his career.

Despite attracting interest from several top European clubs, the pacey attacker has chosen to join the Premier League champions as he looks to win major honours under Pep Guardiola.

At the Etihad Stadium, Semenyo is expected to provide depth and versatility to Guardiola’s attacking options, further strengthening City’s forward line.

The former Bristol City forward joined Bournemouth in January 2023 and has since established himself as a key figure for the Cherries. In 110 appearances across all competitions, he scored 32 goals and registered 13 assists.

This season, Semenyo has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in the Premier League, while also continuing to play an important role for the Ghana national team.

A move to Manchester City represents a significant step forward in the career of the highly-rated Ghanaian attacker.
