Prosport International, the agency representing Asante Kotoko defender Samba, has confirmed that there are currently no transfer offers on the table for either Samba or his teammate Mohammed Camara.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Isaac Saha of Prosport International disclosed that despite transfer rumours, neither player has received a formal bid.
“As things stand, there are no bids on the table for either Samba or Mohammed Camara,” Saha said.
However, Saha revealed that Samba has taken a proactive step by requesting a short-term contract extension with the club.
According to him, the defender has asked for a six-month extension to allow Asante Kotoko benefit financially should a potential transfer materialise.
“Samba has personally requested a six-month contract extension to allow Asante Kotoko benefit from any potential transfer,” he explained.
Saha added that the player has no intention of leaving the club without compensation, stressing his emotional attachment to the Porcupine Warriors.
“He has made it clear that he is not willing to leave the club for free, citing his love for Kotoko and appreciation for what the club has done for him,” Saha concluded.
The situation now leaves the decision in the hands of Asante Kotoko as they consider the player’s request amid ongoing squad planning.
