Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has confirmed that Benjamin Asare remains the team’s first-choice goalkeeper and captain.
“Benjamin Asare is our number one goalkeeper and the captain. Whenever he is fit and ready, he gets the nod to start,” Dramani said.
Asare, who has been instrumental in Hearts of Oak’s title push, has recovered from an injury sustained in November.
He returned in post for Hearts of Oak in their 1-0 win over Hohoe United on Saturday, keeping his 6th cleansheet of the season.
Asare’s impressive performances earned him the Goalkeeper of the Year award at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards and a spot in the Black Stars squad.
