Medeama SC have a golden opportunity to climb to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings when they take on Bibiani GoldStars in an outstanding fixture.
The Tarkwa-based side currently sit second on the table with 30 points from 15 matches, level with leaders Asante Kotoko, but with a game in hand.
Ibrahim Tanko’s men head into the encounter on an impressive 12-match unbeaten run, a streak that has boosted confidence within the camp.
Reflecting on their form, Tanko said, “The feeling is good, going 12 games unbeaten in the Premier League with all these good clubs. I think we did very well here. Going to Kpando, we had the confidence to go and grab all three points.”
The former Ghana international stressed the importance of collective effort, adding, “I think we played as a team. I have always said that when we play as a team, we can face any side, home or away.”
Attention now turns firmly to Bibiani, with Tanko insisting focus remains sharp.
“We are thinking about Bibiani GoldStars and definitely, this will be another game,” he noted.
“We always have a good performance at Bibiani and I hope that it will be the same,” he added.
