Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed satisfaction with his side’s consistency after extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The Mauve and Yellow sit second on the table with 30 points from 15 matches, level with leaders Asante Kotoko but trailing on goal difference, and remain firmly in the title race.
Medeama head into Wednesday’s rescheduled matchday 14 fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars boosted by a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Heart of Lions. Tanko described the victory as crucial, given the competitiveness of the league.
The former Accra Lions boss praised his team’s confidence and collective discipline, especially in challenging away fixtures.
“The feeling is good, going 12 games unbeaten in the Premier League with all these good clubs. Going to Kpando, we had the confidence to go and grab all three points,” Tanko said.
“When we play as a team, we can face any side, home or away.”
Despite their impressive run, Medeama have drawn six of those 12 matches, highlighting the fine margins at the top of the table.
Wednesday’s clash presents another stern test, with Bibiani Gold Stars maintaining a perfect home record this season.
