Asante Kotoko condemns chaotic incident in Nsoatre and confirm death of supporter

Asante Kotoko SC has released a statement addressing the disturbing incidents that occurred during their match against Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.

The game was marred by chaos, resulting in a suspension of over an hour.

Four Asante Kotoko players – Justice Blay, Patrick Asiedu, Mohammed Camara, and Michael Kyei Dwamena – received red cards, severely impacting the team’s chances of winning.

Despite their best efforts, Asante Kotoko ultimately lost 1-0 to Nsoatreman FC, courtesy of Gabriel Bonnah’s 78th-minute strike. This victory marked Nsoatreman’s second win in 12 games.

In their statement, Asante Kotoko condemned the incident and expressed their sadness and shock at the events that transpired.

Tragically, the club also confirmed the death of their devoted supporter and communicator, Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed during the incident.
