Ghana’s Black Queens have intensified training in the United Arab Emirates ahead of their second fixture at the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup.

The senior women’s national team face Russia today as part of their preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The invitational tournament is serving as a key build-up platform for head coach Kim Lars and his squad.

Training sessions have been sharpened in recent days as the team focuses on tactical discipline and match fitness.

Ghana head into the clash full of confidence after a commanding 4-0 win over Hong Kong in their opening game.

Princess Marfo, Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and debutant Agejipina Zakaria were all on target in that impressive display.

Attention has now shifted to Russia, who present a tougher challenge in the competition.

The Russian side arrive in strong form after a 4-1 victory over Tanzania and boast a solid record in the tournament.

Despite earlier concerns about regional tensions in parts of the Middle East, the Ghana Football Association has assured that the team remains safe.

The Queens will conclude their Pink Ladies Cup campaign against Tanzania on Friday.
