German-born Ghanaian attacker Moritz-Broni Kwarteng has rejoined first-team training after a short absence due to illness.
The dynamic offensive player was sidelined for the past few days, missing out on the friendly match against the Dutch second-division team De Graafschap Doetinchem.
Stefan Döring, reporting for Funke Sport, brings the welcome news that Kwarteng resumed team training on Thursday. The break, necessitated by health concerns, seems to have been brief but significant enough to keep him out of the recent friendly encounter.
Kwarteng’s return to the pitch is not only a relief for the player himself but also a positive development for VfL Bochum as they gear up for upcoming challenges.
On 22 June 2023, Moritz-Broni Kwarteng moved to Bundesliga club VfL Bochum. He signed a contract until 30 June 2027.
The offensive midfielder joined from Magdeburg for about a million euros.
Kwarteng was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and is of Ghanaian descent.
After the international break, Bochum will take on promoted team FC Heidenheim in the league.
