Liverpool will take the Premier League title race down to the final day of the season on Sunday. The Reds are one point behind Manchester City in the title race ahead of Sunday’s match with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s team is coming off of back-to-back 2-1 wins against Aston Villa and Southampton respectively. The Reds won the FA Cup on penalties a week ago and injuries and fatigue could once again force Klopp into alterations to the squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in a terrible state of form. The end of the season cannot come quick enough as Wolves prepare to overhaul the squad in the offseason. Wolves are eighth in the league, but failed to win any of their last six Premier League matches.

Liverpool have a stellar record against Wolves in the teams’ last six meetings. The Reds have a perfect head-to-head record of 6W-0D-0L in the last six matches. Wolves scored a mere one goal in those six matches while conceding 11 times to Liverpool.

The Reds won in dramatic fashion earlier this campaign at Molineux as Divock Origi scored deep in second half stoppage time to win the game 1-0. The last three matches between these clubs finished as wins to nil for Liverpool.

Klopp will be without midfield warrior Fabinho, who is nursing a thigh injury. Mohamed Salah is a major doubt following a groin strain. Virgil van Dijk could be rested due to a knee issue and Joe Gomez will miss out after suffering a knee injury at Southampton.

The Liverpool manager made nine changes to the FA Cup winning team. Expect Thiago, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz, and Trent Alexander-Arnold to all return to the starting XI.

Bruno Lage will be without Max Kilman due to an ankle injury. Nelson Semedo will also miss the game through an injury. Romain Saiss has a knee issue that will keep him out of the team.

Liverpool must win to put pressure on Man City in their game at home against Aston Villa. The Reds should come through with another win to nil against Wolves as a large number of first team players return to the side.

The game should finish 2-0 as Liverpool win and hope that Aston Villa can take points off of Man City at the Etihad Stadium. The Reds go into the game with a home record of 14W-4D-0L. It should move to 15 wins.
