Ghana Supporters Union have called on the Ministry of Youth And Sports to fund their trip to Algeria to support the Black Galaxies in the ongoing Totalenergies African nations championship.
The nation’s home-based team suffered a 2-1 shocker at the hands of debutants, Madagascar in their Group C opener on Sunday.
A victory is now imperative in their next outing against Sudan on Thursday.
The supporters union believe their presence for the crucial encounter will boost the morale of the Black Galaxies.
“We are not okay, because it never happened before that Ghana will play football without our supporters,” Kasim Awal, who is the General Secretary of Ghana Supporters Union told kickoffghana.
“Ministry and Government of Ghana sent supporters to Qatar to support Black Stars so we were expecting to do same for the Galaxies too.
“We are pleading to the Ministry to support us in some way to send some supporters to support the Galaxies in our second game against Sudan on Thursday.”
