Ghanaian defender Caleb Yirenkyi has been recognized for his impressive performances, earning a spot in the Danish Superliga Team of the Month for August.
The 19-year-old FC Nordsjaelland player showcased his skills with a goal and an assist in five matches, securing another player of the month honor.
Yirenkyi’s achievements also led to a nomination for Young Player of the Month, where he’ll compete against fellow Ghanaians Prince Amoako Jr and Bismarck Edjeodji.
Other standout players in the Team of the Month include AGF’s Tobias Bech, Frederik Beyer Tingager, and Jesper Hansen, along with Mohamed Elyounoussi (Copenhagen), Dario Osorio and Aral Simsir (FC Midtjylland), and Fiete Arp (OB).
Yirenkyi’s strong form has attracted interest from several clubs, and despite not moving in the summer transfer window, he’s expected to join a top 5 league club in January.
The young defender also impressed during Ghana’s international matches against Chad and Mali, helping the Black Stars edge closer to World Cup qualification.
Yirenkyi’s talent and recent performances position him as a sought-after player in European football.
