Who joins Dreams FC and Dwarfs to the FCPPL?

As Dreams FC and Ebusua Dwarfs seal their deal to join next season’s First Capital Plus Premier League from Zone Three and Two respectively, the pendulum of qualification has turned towards the direction of Zone One. Who makes it?

The new format of this season’s GN Division One League has seen its first two teams promoted to next seasons First Capital Plus Premier League with two matches to go.

Dreams FC lost to Kotoku Royals by two goals to one but was enough to see them gain promotion to the Ghanaian top flight league next season pending a protest lodged by Tema Youth.

From Zone 2, Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs just needed a point to sail through and they had it at the Papa Kwesi Nduom Park against Elmina Sharks in a pulsating goalless draw. They have made a quick return back to top flight football after they were relegated last season.

The big question still remains. Who joins the duo to make it to next season’s premiership?

The Zone One has been engulfed by issues of protests forcing the Zone to come to a halt with four matches to go in but Techiman City FC are runaway leaders with 57 points.

Techiman City are closely marched by fellow Brong Ahafo counterparts Berlin FC with 53 points while former premier league campaigners RTU and Berekum Arsenal follow with 49 and 48 points respectively hoping for a slip at the top.

The battle is clearly between leaders Techiman City FC and second placed Berlin FC as the leaders did not start the season on a bright note but have managed to win 18 matches, drawing 3 and losing 5 while Berlin FC have won 17 matches with 7 loses and 2 draws.

Both teams are however waiting anxiously for the ruling of the Disciplinary Committee of the FA which will have  great telling effect on who joins Ebusua Dwarfs and Dreams FC into next season’s premiership.
