Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has been left in awe regarding the performance of new faces in the squad.

Youngsters including Caleb Yirenchi, and Christopher Bonsu have impressed with their performances in the two matches against Nigeria and Trinidad & Tobago in the Unity Cup.

In a post match interview, Jordan, who netted one and set up two others in Ghana’s second half, expressed his satisfaction with their performance.

“We approached the game really well, he said.

“We made the game look simple but it wasn’t simple but the players did well, the young really did well… some of them really took their opportunities and I’m happy for them.

“They just need to keep pushing and keep believing in themselves and keep putting in performances like this.”

Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria in their opener but bounced back with a 4-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.

The team shifts attention to the September World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
