FC Barcelona youngster Abdul Aziz Issah marked his senior debut for Ghana in style, featuring in the Black Stars’ emphatic 4-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place playoff of the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
The 19-year-old came on in the 60th minute to replace Lawrence Agyekum, who had just netted Ghana’s fourth goal of the afternoon at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Issah earned his maiden call-up after an impressive campaign at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, where he helped the Black Satellites reach the quarter-finals.
The result ensured Ghana wrapped up their Unity Cup campaign with a bronze medal and a strong statement of intent ahead of future fixtures.
Ghana face Chad and Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September.
