Fred Crentsil, who heads the GFA’s World Cup ticket committee, say few fans have bothered to complete the online application process for the slots allocated to the GFA and has warned with the deadline of January 10 approaching, many fans could miss out on watching their the Stars in action.
“The process has been very slow and maybe that has to do with the fact that many fans here are not used to the advanced ticket culture,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
“What they should know is that when our deadline of January 10 passes, you can only buy tickets for Ghana games from FIFA.”
Ghana, he says has been allocated just above 3,000 tickets for the opening game against Serbia in Pretoria and a similar number for the game against Australia in Rustenburg. For the game against Germany billed for the Soccer City in Johannesburg on June 23, Ghana has around 8,300 tickets.
The process is open to Ghanaians regardless of where they live and foreigners once they live in Ghana.
