Ghanaian centre-back Abdullai Sambo has joined UB Conquense from the club’s reserve team, completing a move into the Spanish side’s first-team setup.
The 19-year-old defender has signed a contract with UB Conquense that runs until 30 June 2028. He will be part of the squad competing in Segunda Federacion – Group V, after previously playing for UB Conquense B.
Sambo joined the reserve side on 1 March 2026 from African Talent. His move to the senior club was completed on 29 August, marking the latest step in his career since arriving in Spain earlier in the year.
Born in Accra, Sambo represents Ghana and stands 1.86m tall. He is a right-footed central defender, a position he has occupied throughout the recorded stages of his career. His move gives UB Conquense a young defensive option as the club prepares for its campaign in Spain’s fourth tier.
The transfer also maintains Sambo’s connection with UB Conquense after his time with the club’s reserve team. Rather than moving to a new organisation, he has progressed within the same setup, switching from UB Conquense B to the senior side.
Sambo’s previous spell at African Talent preceded his arrival at Conquense B, where he spent the latter part of the 2025-26 season before moving into the first-team group. The defender now has the opportunity to continue his development within the club’s senior structure.
UB Conquense have registered Sambo as a defender and handed him a contract lasting through the end of June 2028. The Ghanaian’s move from UB Conquense B to the club’s senior side was completed on 29 August 2026.
