The Black Princesses, Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, have returned to Ghana after securing a 1-0 win over South Africa in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.

The team, led by head coach Charles Sampson, arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra, late hours of Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Ghana defeated South Africa 3-2 on aggregate, booking their spot in the final round of qualifiers, where they’ll face Uganda in May 2026.

The Black Princesses are aiming to make history, seeking an eighth consecutive appearance at the biennial tournament scheduled to take place in Poland in September 2026.

The team’s disciplined performance and win over South Africa mark a significant step towards their World Cup qualification goals.

The team will face Uganda in the final qualifying round.
