The Ministry of Youth and Sports have congratulated the Black Meteors after qualifying of the final round of U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side beat Mozambique 4-1 aggregate to advance to the last stage of the qualifiers, winning the first leg 2-1 in Maputo and securing a 2-0 victory in the return encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, October 30.
Ghana will now face DR Congo in the ultimate round in March, 2023.
The winner of the tie will advance to the tournament’s 2023 edition, which will also serve as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
