Southampton is in 17th place in the league table, having taken just seven points from their nine matches in the English top flight this season.
The team from the south coast have struggled at both ends of the pitch this season. However, only three teams in the English top flight have scored fewer goals than the home side.
Even home advantage has done little to help the Saints to pick up points, as the Saints have lost seven of their last ten home games in the Premier League, dating back to last season.
A 2-1 defeat by Everton in their previous home game means that they have also lost four of their last six home games in the league.
West Ham
After a poor start to their campaign, West Ham seems to now be finding their feet in the Premier League. A 3-1 win over capital rivals Fulham last time out in the Premier League means that the Hammers have now recorded back-to-back league wins.
The victories have moved the visitors up to 13th place in the Premier League table.
One of the Irons’ main issues of late in the Premier League has been poor away form, as West Ham has won just two of their last 12 away games in the English top-flight. That 12-game away run includes nine defeats.
