Seven Liverpool stars who may never play for the club again

Seven Liverpool stars who may never play for the club again

A number of senior Liverpool stars could be set to depart Anfield during the 2022 summer transfer window.

The Reds have a pretty huge squad, which often leads to a number of players seeing little or no action for the senior side.

However, as per the Liverpool Echo, as many as seven senior stars, not including Divock Origi who has already confirmed he will be leaving for free, could be saying goodbye to Liverpool this summer.

Their list of seven players, of course, includes Sadio Mane. Mane has already made his desire to leave the club this summer public, with German champions Bayern Munich showing the most interest.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side are even said to have made a £21m bid for the forward last week, which was rejected by Liverpool:

Varying reports say Liverpool are holding out for upwards of between €30-50m for Mane.

Outside of Mane, all of Joe Gomez, Takumi Minamino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Natt Phillips and Neco Williams are tipped to potentially leave Liverpool this summer.

None of those six players, barring perhaps Milner, play that often for the Reds, and there is some talk that Milner, despite his age, could sign a contract extension this summer.
