AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao has been linked with a move away from Italy.

According to reports via Fichajes, Manchester United and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Portuguese international attacker.

Leao could prove to be a useful acquisition for the two clubs and it will be interesting to see if they decide to step up their interest with an official proposal in the summer.

The 24-year-old is capable of operating as a winger as well as a centre-forward. He will add goals and assists in the final third. The Portuguese international has 12 goals and 12 assists to his name in all competitions this season.

Manchester United need to bring in an upgrade on players like Antony and Jadon Sancho. Leao has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in English football and he could prove to be a quality addition.

At Arsenal, he will help Mikel Arteta rotate players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal have not been able to rotate their attackers due to the lack of depth in the side. Leao has proven himself in Italy and he will look to make his mark at a higher level now.

Rafael Leao could cost €150 million

A move to the Premier League will be an exciting opportunity for the player and he is likely to be tempted if there is concrete interest from the two clubs. Both Arsenal and Manchester United could provide him with the platform to push for major trophies in the coming seasons.

The report states that the player has a market value of around €150 million but it is fair to assume that Arsenal and Manchester United will want to sign him for a more reasonable price. AC Milan will have to lower their asking price in order for the move to go through.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
