Real Sociedad will welcome Jose Mourinho back to Spain as the former Real Madrid boss takes his Roma side to the Reale Arena with a 2-0 aggregate lead as the Serie A giants look to move on from a terrible weekend loss.

Roma were stunned by Sassuolo last time out as they went 2-0 down after two quick-fire goals from Armand Lauriente early in the first half.

Domenico Berardi scored a penalty just before half time, as Nicola Zalewski and Paulo Dybala scored goals for Roma. Georginio Wijnaldum added a fourth in the dying seconds, as the game finished 4-3.

It has pushed Roma down into fifth after AC Milan picked up a point on Monday, and it now means Roma have let in just 25 goals this season in Serie A but are coming into this game off the back of their most goals conceded within one game.

Roma have still managed to establish themselves as one of the favourites to win the Europa League after a fantastic performance in the first leg.

Stephan El Shaarawy scored the opening goal that day after just 13 minutes and Marash Kumbulla would give Mourinho’s men plenty of breathing space with a finish just four minutes from time to give them a 2-0 lead.

Now, they, Manchester United and Juventus are arguably the teams to beat in the Europa League.

As for Sociedad, they too failed to win once more as their terrible run of form continues – it is their worst stint of form this season and it has seen them drop from third into fourth.

The club met with Mallorca in La Liga over the weekend, as Carlos Fernandez scored after three minutes, just as Mikel Merino was sent off for the Spanish side.

Sociedad now sit just three clear of Real Betis in the Spanish top flight and have still only let in 24 goals from 25 games, but scored just 33 of their own in this time.

It is set to be a very tough game to call after such a fantastic home record for Sociedad. In fact, their home loss to Manchester United back in the group campaign was one of the only losses they’ve had at home this season and their only loss at home in Europe.

Nevertheless, Forebet predicts a low-scoring draw in Spain.
