Belgium v Montenegro

International friendly match at the Stade Roi Baudouin, Brussels
Wednesday, 7:30pm

Both Teams to Score, No

Belgium have chosen a couple of not-exactly-taxing friendlies against Montenegro and Luxembourg for their Euro 2024 preparations. The Belgians are undefeated over their last 13 fixtures, winning eight and drawing five. Over their last five home games, Domenico Tedesco’s side have won three and drawn two, scoring 13 and conceding just two.

Montenegro’s form of three wins and two losses looks decent but those wins were against Lithuania, Belarus, and North Macedonia. Over their last five away games, they’ve won two, drawn one, and lost two, scoring seven and conceding eight. Belgium’s steely defence should be well able to keep another clean sheet here, so we’re starting with a Both Teams to Score, No pick.

Romelu Lukaku to Score

Romelu Lukaku scored an impressive 21 goals across all competitions for Roma this season and for the national team, he’s an absolute nightmare for opposition defenders. He scored 15 over his last nine games for the Red Devils, and over his 114 senior appearances, he’s bagged a whopping 83 goals. No doubt, he’ll be eager to do so again here again.

France v Luxembourg

International friendly match at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz
TV: Premier Sports, Wednesday, 8pm

France -3

France could run riot against Luxembourg in Metz. Manager Didier Deschamps will likely name a full-strength starting XI with the likes to Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, Oliver Giroud, and Kylian Mbappe rumoured to be in the starting line up.

Since the World Cup, France have played seven home games, winning six and losing one, scoring 28 goals, 14 of which came against Gibraltar last November.

Luxembourg have won two, drawn one, and lost two over their last five on the road. One of those wins was against lowly Liechtenstein and they were on the wrong end of a 9-0 hammering by Portugal. While unlikely to see a scoreline that extreme here, France should easily be winning this by at least four goals.

Kylian Mbappe to First Goalscorer

With 27 Ligue Un goals in 29 appearances, as well as nine in domestic cup games and eight in 12 in the Champions League, Kylian Mbappe certainly delivered in front of goal in his final season for PSG. He also bagged nine in his eight Euro 2024 qualifiers so we’re backing him to open the scoring here.

Spain v Andorra

International friendly match at the Estadio Municipal Nuevo Vivero, Badajoz
TV: Premier Sports, Wednesday, 8pm

Spain -3

This is quite the mismatch. Spain are ranked 8th in the world at the moment, Andorra are way, way down in 164th. It’s the kind of game that really should have been played behind closed doors and it could very easily get rather embarrassing for the Andorrans. With the firepower at Spain’s disposal we can easily see this ending 4-0 or above.
