FC Midtjylland scouts are heading to Kumasi this weekend to watch Asante Kotoko’s talented midfielder Hubert Gyau in action.

The 20-year-old has been on the Danish club’s radar since the start of the season, impressing with his composure, energy, and ball-winning abilities in midfield.

Gyau joined Asante Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea in July 2025, signing a four-year deal until June 2029.

He has made a strong impact in the Ghana Premier League, earning a spot in the Team of the Week for Week 4.

The scouts will likely be looking to assess Gyau’s potential fit with the Danish club, who have been actively scouting African talent.

Asante Kotoko’s Administrative Manager, Richard Akoto, recently rubbished reports of Gyau leaving the club, stating he’s bound by contract until 2029.
