Milovan Rajevac revealed to KickOffGhana.com that the Chelsea midfielder should be with his international colleagues early when week by which time he would have been fully fit to play a key part in the tournament.
“We agreed that he must complete his rehabilitation with Chelsea, so I am expecting that he will join us on Tuesday before we go to Angola,” he said.
Essien will captain the team in the absence of Stephen Appiah and John Mensah and Rajevac has been expressing his importance to the Ghana team ahead of the tournament.
He is one of three players the side is expecting before they have a full house for Angola.
