Otto Addo analyzes Ghana’s winless performances in March friendlies

Head coach Otto Addo reflects on Ghana’s recent international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, expressing disappointment at the team’s failure to secure a victory.

Despite showing promise in certain aspects of play, such as resilience with ten men against Nigeria, Addo acknowledges the need for improvement, particularly in creating goal-scoring opportunities and defensive organization.

The Black Stars also played a pulsating 2-2 draw with the Cranes of Uganda on Tuesday to wrap up the March international window.

The matches served as valuable learning experiences for the team, highlighting areas for development ahead of future competitions.

”We didn’t win a game, so this is the summary which is bad. I think we can see the first match; even though we lost you could see that there were a lot of positive things especially in the second half with ten men, playing good football, having good movements, well positioned against a strong Nigerian team with a lot of young players.

The second match was more difficult for us. I know that if you want to build something, especially like having more possession, playing out from the back, there will be mistakes and with mistakes sometimes comes out of a little bit of fear to make mistakes so we have to get over it” the gaffer said in an interview with
