Nora Häuptle has left her position as head coach of the Ghana women’s national team, the Black Queens, following the expiration of her contract on December 31, 2024.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) appointed the Swiss coach in 2023, replacing Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo.
During her tenure, Häuptle achieved a significant milestone by qualifying the team for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament in Morocco.
However, she faced a setback when the team failed to qualify for the Olympic Games after losing to Zambia’s Copper Queens.
It is understood Häuptle is set to take on a new role as the head coach of Zambia’s Copper Queens, with a reported two-year deal worth $7,000 per month.
Her appointment was approved by the Zambia FA’s Executive Committee on December 21.
