Neymar is approaching a decisive point in his career, with his Santos contract due to expire on 31 December and no agreement yet reached over whether he will remain at the Brazilian club.
The forward’s next move has become increasingly uncertain, with reports suggesting that Inter Miami could offer an opportunity to reshape the final stage of his career.
According to Marca, the Major League Soccer club is one of the destinations that could appeal to Neymar as he considers what comes next. Inter Miami already have Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in their squad, raising the possibility of a reunion between the three players who formed Barcelona’s celebrated MSN attack.
Neymar, Messi and Suarez played together at Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, establishing one of the most memorable attacking partnerships in modern football. Their eventual reunion in the United States would therefore represent a significant moment for fans of the former Barcelona side.
However, there is currently no confirmed agreement between Neymar and Inter Miami. The Brazilian remains under contract with Santos, and the decision over his future ultimately rests with him as he weighs his options for the closing years of his playing career.
Questions over Neymar’s situation have also increased following an incident at Santos’ training centre. Brazilian outlet ge reported that the 33-year-old arrived at the club’s facilities but stayed only a few minutes before leaving without permission.
He did not take part in the recovery session scheduled for the club’s starting players. The episode caused concern within Santos, although Neymar returned for the next training session and the club opted not to impose a punishment.
Neymar has himself kept open the possibility of continuing his career, moving to another club or even retiring. No decision has yet been announced, leaving his position at Santos unresolved as the end of his contract approaches.
The forward returned to Santos after spells with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hilal, but his latest contract situation means the Brazilian club must now wait for clarity over his intentions. Inter Miami’s interest, as reported, provides a potential alternative, but there is no confirmed move at this stage.
For now, the prospect of seeing Neymar alongside Messi and Suarez once again remains only a possibility. The three players’ time together at Barcelona ended in 2017, but their attacking partnership remains one of the defining front threes of the modern era.
