Hearts of Oak have made significant gains in their quest to reach an agreement with Salifu Ibrahim over the extension of his contract.
According to Asempa FM’s Enoch Worlanyo on the SportsNite Leaks, the 22-year-old and his representatives have reached an agreement with the Phobians and he would sign an extension to his current contract on Tuesday.
As at last week, there was a lack of common grounds in the negotiations as the two parties remain at variance over monthly salary and an enticement fee.
According to Worlanyo who correctly predicted the departure of David Duncan from Medeama SC, Salifu and his representatives were asking for a $33,000 enticement sum while demanding a monthly salary worth $4,000.
However, it is likely that a factor has changed in the negotiation as the player agreed to sign an extension.
Salifu joined Hearts in 2021 winter from Techiman-based Eleven Wonders and has scored 3 league goals in 41 appearances for the 2000 African champions.
