Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo’s penalty gave IF Elfsborg a 1-0 victory over AS Roma in the Europa League.
The former Vision FC captain calmly converted a spot-kick, securing all three points for the hosts on Thursday night.
Despite Roma’s efforts to push for an equalizer, they were unable to capitalize on their chances.
Baidoo delivered an outstanding performance, playing 86 minutes and earning an 8.1 rating after the game at the Boras Arena.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.
He is expected to be included in Coach Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad ahead of the clash against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
