Medeama coach Tom Strand has slammed the unprofessional conduct of the AshantiGold fans during their 2-1 defeat at the Len Clay on Sunday.
The Swedish felt the home fans intimidated his players and match officials in their reverse scoreline.
“I expected a lot today. This is the day of the new league season or the second day but we are entering into the league and I was expecting a much more professional attitude in the game,” Strand said in a post-match interview.
“If you look around at the surroundings but on the pitch I think the players out-doing and fighting their hearts out for their respective teams.
“It was good for the players and clubs but things around it wasn’t professional so I’m very sad about that issue.”
Medeama face a tough task in their second week fixture at home against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
