Former Dutch footballer Marco Van Basten has picked Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus as better player than Manchester United’s Brazilian winger Antony.
His comments comes after Kudus scored from a free-kick for Ajax in the team’s 4-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.
The goal put Kudus on nine goals and an assist in 21 league games this season in the best run of his time at the Dutch club and Van Basten sees the Black Stars player as a better player than Antony who moved to Man United for £86 million pounds this past off-season.
“I like him much better than Antony. He’s a better footballer and he’s more fun to play with,” Van Basten said on Ziggo Sport.
“Antony had moves, but he could also be so muddled. Kudus has a much firmer technique and knows where he is going. Antony may be faster, but Kudus is smarter and more technical. He is much more of a footballer and an all-rounder for the team.”
Kudus scored two goals and added an assist in three games for the Ghana in Qatar in his first FIFA World Cup outing.
