Former Black Stars attacker Majeed Waris is calling for the inclusion of Ghanaian Legendary Asamoah Gyan in the management of Ghana Football.
It’s unclear if the Ghana’s all time top scorer wants to go into football management in the country but Waris believes Gyan has the country at heart and will deliver when called upon.
His comments come after Ghana suffered another early Africa Cup of Nations exit following last Monday’s 2-2 drawn game against Mozambique.
“Time to get Asamoah Gyan involved in the GFA. one of the real guys who always have the nation in heart,” wrote Waris on X, formerly Twitter.
Waris and Gyan were part of the squad that qualified Ghana for the 2014 World Cup.
The 32-year-old now plies his trade in Cyprus with Anorthosis Famagusta.
