Luck eluded us against Nations FC – Samrtex boss Nurudeen Amadu

Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu believes luck was not on their side in their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League matchday 19 loss to Nations FC on Monday morning.

The Timber Giants’ unbeaten streak at home came to an abrupt end as Nafiu Sulemana sealed a 1-0 victory for the visitors at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.

Nations FC, striving for a top-four position, saw this crucial away triumph as a significant step towards their goal.

Meanwhile, Smartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu of Samartex attributed the loss to a lack of luck, expressing disappointment with their inability to convert scoring opportunities throughout the match.

“Luck evaded us, and in games like this, it’s crucial,” expressed Amadu. “Nothing seemed to work for us in terms of conversion, despite creating numerous chances. To hit the post on more than three occasions reflects our lack of fortune today.”

Currently, Samartex maintains their position atop the league standings with 35 points, while Nations FC climbs to the fourth spot with 30 points and a game in hand
