Former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Fred Pappoe has opined that the poor performance of the Black Stars in the friendly against Brazil is no grounds for calls for the sacking of head coach Otto Addo.
According to him, it will be suicidal for the Ghana FA to sack the head coach of the national team just because his team did not perform well in a friendly match.
“We should not confuse ourselves by calling for the sack of the coach due to the performance of the team from a friendly match,” Fred Pappoe shared.
The former Ghana FA vice president added, “We should not be quick to pass judgment on whether Otto Addo is good or bad, to me he is good. We cannot change him at this time, for me that will be suicidal.”
Despite the calls for the sacking of Coach Otto Addo, he has the full backing of the Ghana FA.
He is expected to lead Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup as agreed when he was handed a contract extension.
