Leeds United agree second RB Salzburg addition as Marsch madness continues

Jesse Marsch took over from Marcelo Bielsa

Leeds United have agreed their second summer signing as a second RB Salzburg export is set to land at Elland Road in the form of full-back Rasmus Kristensen.

Jesse Marsch, who left Salzburg for RB Leipzig last summer, helped Leeds avoid relegation courtesy of a stoppage-time winner from Jack Harrison on the final day of the season.

Now, he has raided his old club, with Brendan Aaronson having already joined the club this summer as owner Victor Orta looks to ensure that they survive a little more comfortably in the top flight next season.

And, it seems that they are set to do so again, with the Telegraph reporting that they have yet again struck a deal with RB Salzburg, this time to bring Rasmus Kristensen to England.

‘Denmark full-back Rasmus Kristensen has agreed personal terms with Leeds United and a deal is now in place for him to move to Elland Road’, the report claims.

The deal is expected to reach ‘up to £10m’, with Marsch fighting off interest from Brentford and Borussia Dortmund to secure their man.

Kristensen, who plays predominantly on the right-hand side, made 29 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga this campaign, as well as 8 Champions League outings.

Brendan Aaronson marks Elland Road move with a goal

Meanwhile, Brendan Aaronson marked his move to Elland Road with a goal for the USMNT on his first appearance since the announcement.

The 21-year-old midfielder profited from some good work from Christian Pulisic to fire into an empty net for the hosts as they dismantled Morocco 3-0.
