Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori has joined Portuguese top-flight side Casa Pia after mutually terminating his contract with Moreirense per reports.
The 27-year-old has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with the Lisbon-based club, strengthening manager Álvaro Pacheco’s midfield options.
Ofori, who made four Liga Portugal appearances this season with one assist, had interest from Spanish side Real Mallorca, Lecce, and Athens, but chose Casa Pia.
Ofori’s move comes as Casa Pia looks to boost their chances of survival in the Primeira Liga, currently sitting 16th.
With experience playing for Leixões, Feirense, and Famalicão, Ofori brings valuable Liga Portugal know-how to the team.
Moreirense had owned 50% of Ofori’s economic rights, with Famalicão holding the remaining stake.
