Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil says the team must respond decisively by winning their outstanding league match against Young Apostles after dropping points in consecutive Ghana Premier League games.
The Porcupine Warriors have not secured a victory since their narrow win over Hearts of Oak, following it with two straight draws.
Their latest stumble came in a 1-1 result against Aduana FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
“We are playing at home, so we wanted to win. The result is not good for us. We wanted to win, that’s why we fought hard,” he said.
“Every day we need to improve. In that game against Young Apostles, we need to win, so we need to improve to do that,” O’Neil noted.
Kotoko will host Young Apostles in their rescheduled Week 6 fixture on Wednesday, November 19 at 3 p.m.
