Aduana FC have announced the tragic death of two supporters following a tricycle accident at Aboabo in Kumasi on Sunday evening. The fans were returning from the club’s 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

According to eyewitness accounts, the tricycle carrying the supporters veered off the road and overturned, leading to the fatal crash.

In a statement, the club confirmed the incident, adding that two other fans are currently receiving medical care. “We regret to announce that two of the fans have lost their lives and two others are currently on admission… We wish the bereaved families strength and empathy, and those on admission a speedy recovery,” the statement read.

Reports also indicate that three additional supporters are in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The group had travelled to Kumasi to support midfielder Seidu Saana, who featured in the match against Kotoko. Aduana FC say they are in close contact with the affected families and will provide further updates as the situation develops.
