Asante Kotoko secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Karela United in week 18 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The game was evenly matched, with a barren first half.
However, Justice Blay broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, scoring from a spot after Baba Yahaya was brought down.
Following this win, Kotoko now top the table with 34 points, while Karela United sits at 18th position with 14 points.
Kotoko’s next game is against Nsoatreman FC, and Karela United will face Berekum Chelsea.
