England and Ghana winger Jeremiah Berkeley-Agyepong has joined Reading U21 from Chelsea U18, completing a move to the Premier League 2 side at the age of 17.
Berkeley-Agyepong, who was born in London, is a left winger and favours his left foot. He has agreed a contract with Reading running until 30 June 2028, giving the club a long-term agreement with the teenager.
The move brings Berkeley-Agyepong to Reading after a season in which he was involved with two academy sides. He started the 2025-26 campaign with Chelsea U18 before joining Ipswich U18 on loan in September. That spell ended on 31 May 2026, when he returned to Chelsea.
He had moved into Chelsea’s under-18 set-up from Chelsea Youth at the start of the 2025-26 season. His transfer to Reading therefore represents his next change of club within the English academy system, with the player now moving into the environment of an under-21 team.
Reading’s under-21 side competes in Premier League 2, providing the next setting for the teenager after his time in the U18 Premier League. Berkeley-Agyepong’s arrival adds a player capable of operating on the left side of the attack to the club’s development group.
The 1.78m winger is registered with both England and Ghana, and has represented Reading FC U21 at club level following his move. No first-team appearances, goals or assists are recorded in the available career record, while his current competition record shows no appearances in the opening two possible games of the 2026-27 U18 Premier League campaign.
His career to date has included experience with Chelsea’s youth structure and a loan spell at Ipswich, before the switch to Reading. The move was completed on 25 August 2026, with Berkeley-Agyepong now contracted to the Berkshire club until the end of June 2028.
