Inaki William’s confidence is at an all-time high following his heroic display for Ghana against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualification opening game.
The Athletic Bilbao star scored in stoppage time to secure the Black Stars all three points at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The 95th minute header was his first ever goal for the national team after eleven previous appearances.
“The Almighty made this possible for me. All my teammates are calling me ‘Kwaku the Baller’. I’m so happy. I can only say thank you. Gideon Mensah put in a good cross and I scored the goal. I’m so happy” he told reporters after the match.
Looking ahead to the next challenge against Comoros, Williams exuded confidence, stating, “Comoros is the next game and probably I am going to score another goal to put Ghana on top.”
As anticipation builds, Ghana is set to face Comoros on Tuesday, November 21, at the Moroni Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 4 pm.
