The Athletic Bilbao striker delivered a crucial goal by nodding in a flawless cross from Gideon Mensah to give Ghana a narrow 1-0 victory in Kumasi.
Amidst celebrations, Williams acknowledges the support of his teammates, who have affectionately bestowed upon him the title of ‘Kweku the Baller.’ Reflecting on the decisive moment, he gives credit to Mensah for the well-executed cross that led to his goal.
“The Almighty made this possible for me. All my teammates are calling me ‘Kwaku the Baller’. I’m so happy. I can only say thank you. Gideon Mensah put in a good cross and I scored the goal. I’m so happy” he said in a post match interview.
Looking ahead to the upcoming clash against Comoros, Williams radiates confidence, stating, “Comoros is the next game, and probably I am going to score another goal to put Ghana on top.”
