Former Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito insists he has no resentment toward the club following his departure.
Zito took over from Prosper Narteh Ogum midway through last season but stepped aside after a difficult run of results.
Kotoko’s FA Cup elimination on penalties to Aduana FC sealed his exit after managing just one win in six matches.
Despite the circumstances, the experienced trainer says he remains at peace with the club.
“I left Asante Kotoko without any grudge. Not even being stabbed in the line of duty by bandits could sour me on the club. Coaches will always come and go. It is normal, so no hard feelings at all.”
During his spell, Zito guided the Porcupine Warriors to success in several competitions.
The trophies included the FA Cup, President’s Cup, Champion of Champions, and Toyota Cup.
He believes coaching changes are part of football and should not create personal animosity.
The former Kotoko boss has since moved on to a fresh assignment.
Zito is now in charge of Division One side AshantiGold.
He hopes to continue building his career and contribute to the growth of Ghanaian football in his new role.
