Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has announced a 20-man squad for the upcoming Ghana Premier League matchday 23 fixture against league leaders FC Samartex in Samreboi.
The team’s top scorer of the season, Hamza Issah, makes a welcome return to the squad after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the last three games.
Issah’s presence is expected to bolster the Phobians’ attack as they face the league leaders. Hearts of Oak have been unbeaten in the league since Matchday 15, a run that has seen them collect 32 points after Matchday 22 under their new Ivorian head coach.
In addition to Issah, Coach Ouattara has included Evans Addoma and Gideon Asante in the squad for the crucial clash. The Accra-based club is unbeaten in their last five league games and will be looking to continue their impressive run against Samartex.
