Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, has declared the team’s primary objective for the 2024/2025 season which is winning the Ghana Premier League.
Despite a slow start, the Phobians have hit their stride, going unbeaten in their last five league games.
The Rainbow Club have secured three wins and one draw in their previous four matches, marking a notable resurgence.
This strong form has propelled the team to sixth place on the league table, amassing 19 points after 12 matches.
“Let me ask you a question: If you enroll in Secondary School, what is your target?’” Ouattara asked.
“If you say it is not your target to win the league, why are you playing? We are competing for the title, and if it comes to pass, it will not be a surprise; if it doesn’t happen, too, it will not be a surprise.” he concluded.
Hearts of Oak will crossed sword with their rivals Asante Kotoko on December 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
