Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars as they prepare for crucial World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar on March 21 and 24.
Despite failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Black Stars have shown promise in World Cup qualifying, winning their last two matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
The victories have placed Ghana second in Group I, level on points with leaders Comoros.
Mensah, a consistent player for the Black Stars and a participant in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is promoting unity and support to help Ghana reach a fifth World Cup.
“Thank you for your support over the years for the Black Stars,” he said.
“We’ve had great results in our previous games, but we would like to urge every one of you to continue to support us and be a pillar behind us in our upcoming qualifying games. Together, we can achieve greatness,” he added
