The Ghana U-16 Women’s National Team is currently in Malta to participate in a UEFA International Development Tournament.
The team, comprising 20 players and seven officials, departed Ghana on Sunday evening and arrived in Malta on Monday, March 3.
The four-nation tournament, featuring teams from Latvia, Malta, and Ireland, aims to prioritize youth development in Ghana.
The team held its first training session on Monday, March 3, and will face host country Malta today, Tuesday, March 4.
Ghana’s next game is against Ireland on Thursday, March 6, before rounding off with a third game against Latvia on Saturday, March 9.
The tournament will serve as preparatory grounds for Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa’s team ahead of their competitive assignments, which begin in the last quarter of the year.
