Ghanaian duo Abdul Jalilu and Agyenim Boateng Mensah were on target for Mukura Victory Sports in their 4-2 away defeat to Armee Patriotique Rwandaise (APR) FC in the Rwanda top-flight league.

The former Dreams FC players put up an impressive performance, but their efforts couldn’t secure a point at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali.

Defender Jalilu opened the scoring for the visitors in the 16th minute, before Agyenim doubled the lead just five minutes later, giving Mukura a comfortable first-half advantage.

Olivier Dushimimana started the comeback for the hosts by scoring in the 44th minute.

Arsene Tuyisenge leveled the tally in the 50th minute, giving the hosts hope for a comeback as they dominated the entire second half.

Clement Niyigena gave APR the lead in the 73rd minute, before Alain Kwitonda sealed the win with a goal in the 78th minute to secure all three points for the hosts.

Agyenim has been an integral member of the Mukura Victory Sports team, scoring four goals and providing two assists in four appearances in the ongoing 2024/25 season.

Jalilu has also been outstanding, scoring twice and providing an assist in three games since joining from Dreams FC.
