Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin celebrated his maiden goal for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga as they battled Real Sociedad to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Mumin, who returned to the starting lineup after a suspension, played a crucial role in powering Rayo into the lead at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas in Madrid.

His goal came in the 31st minute when he capitalized on a rebound, opening the scoring for the match.

However, Sociedad managed to level the score just before halftime, with Mikel Oyarzabal finding the net in the 41st minute.

Oyarzabal added another goal for Sociedad in the 66th minute from a penalty kick, putting his team ahead. Nevertheless, Cape Verde international Bebe came to the rescue for Rayo with a late equalizer in additional time.
